In Acts 6:8-Acts 7, the Holy Spirit fills Stephen with wisdom and power. The people cannot endure it, so they defame him with lies. He is seized and questioned, and after sharing again that Christ is the fulfillment of the Scriptures, he is rushed, cast out of the city, and stoned. The heavens open and Stephen sees the glory of God, and Jesus standing at His right hand. Stephen leaves a legacy of enjoying God, encouraging his brothers and sisters, engaging the world, enraging them with the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and ultimately being united with the one true God.
